Today, 7th of November, 2019.
Today is another fulfilling moment with the students of Adenle Government Middle School, Ayetoro, Osogbo as I joined them to observe the morning assembly.
I resumed work at 7:30 am in the school with a 35mins inspirational talk session with the pupils and later 15mins meeting with the teachers and the head of school.
I told the students about the true essence of education and why they must give it all the seriousness it deserves. We also touched on values like punctuality, integrity, hardwork, patrotism and I shared my story as a young primary five (5) school pupil, who made up his mind to study hard so as to succeed in life and make his parents and the society proud.
The students promised their teachers, parents and I to rededicate themselves to their studies and inculcate right attitudes in other to become successful and be great ambassadors of Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.
I thereafter moved into the grade 9 (JSS3) class, where I thaught Civic Education and we had a very interesting time together. It is equally very important to state that my experience,so far, as a teacher in the government secondary school has further deepened my conviction that our dear State is really blessed with smart kids who carry the seed of greatness in them and we all owe it a duty to nuture these seeds to suceess.
We are extremely passionate about raising a generation of men and women that will be a perfect mix of capacity and character through quality and functional education.
Thanks to God for the impacts we are able to make in the lives of these little but great ones. This is a generational assignment we are irrevocably committed to because of our deep convinction that together we can build a better, greater and more functional society.
