It was another very inspiring moment with students and teachers of Salvation Army Government Middle School, Osogbo yesterday.
We resumed at exactly 7:30 AM with a very impactful session on the assembly ground, where our students were charged to treasure education and be determined to succeed in life. It was quite touching at some point to see students express their joy and reaffirming their commitment to study hard and become successful. They described it as a life changing session.
The teachers were also commended for their contributions towards building a better tomorrow with appeal to do more. I’m indeed proud of our teachers!
I later had a nice time with the grade 9 students (JSS 3). I taught them civic education and we discussed the Nigerian constitution.
A very big thank you to my honorable colleague representing Osogbo State Constituency – Hon. Taofeek Gbadamassi, the State of Osun Head of Service – Dr. Gboyega Olowogboyega, Member of Osun State Education Steering committee – Dr. Romoke Raji, Mrs. Arinola Kikelomo Oladimeji – Director of Osun State Middle School and Mrs. Kola Taiwo who joined me in motivating our students to greatness.
On this special occasion of the World Teachers’ day, I wish all of us a happy Teachers’ day.
